Being your own psychologist
This was a session inspired by a technique known as the empty chair, popularised by Fritz Perls (1893–1970), one of the founders of Gestalt therapy. It goes something like this: You imagine someone sitting in the empty chair in front of you. Someone you want to speak to (your dad? An ex-boyfriend? Someone from the past? Yourself?). You can also switch chairs and reverse the roles, speaking from the other person's perspective. In this particular case (Being your own psychologist), there was no therapist present. Just the camera, the chair and me.
